/// About CSAU ///

                     The Computer Society of Anna University is the largest technical student body of Anna University, with a current membership of over 2000. The Society is aimed at inculcating interest and creating awareness among the students of Anna University, in the ever-evolving field of computers. We conduct a number of events throughout the year, that not only serve as a challenging platform for students to exhibit their talents but also provide an opportunity to volunteers to enhance their managerial skills and handle situations with responsibility. The undergraduate and postgraduate members of the society span all the three colleges on the University's Main Campus- CEG, AC TECH and SAP.

We are greatly indebted to the Ramanujan Computing Centre (RCC), the state-of-the-art computing centre of our University. The excellent facilities and support provided by the RCC has enabled us to handle the task of running the Society with a degree of ease that would have otherwise been impossible.

Computer Society of Anna University was founded in 1978 as Computer Club and was later renamed as Computer Society in 1980. The society is run by a group of volunteers from among the various faculties in the university. We have a team of over 50 students actively involved in the organization of the activities conducted by the society. Around 20 students among the above group form the executive team and are involved in handling the top level organizational details.

We at the Computer Society are interested in collaborating with technical groups or institutions around the world, to share our ideas and our experiences for mutual gain. Feel free to mail us at infodesk@csau.in
